grounds, democrats try to paper over it this week with vague warnings about terrible things that could happen at the hands of terrible people. well, people who support trump, of course. the acting capitol police chief in a pathetic attempt to shift blame from their inadequate preparation claimed yesterday to have been briefed about troubling intelligence reports. >> members of the militia group present on january 6th had stated their desires that they wanted to blow up the capital and kill as many members as possible with a direct message to the state of the union. we think it's prudent that capitol police maintain enhanced and robust security posture until we address those vulnerabilities going forward. >> terry >> laura: agencies want billions of dollars to keep government and acceptable to the

people who actually pay the bill. you can bet that this is going to include systems and surveillance to monitor, track,, and harass law-abiding americans. as much as threat assessment, there is no reason the sows should not be made public now. you want to see them. first against the capital, against members of congress? they are nothing new, they've been around since i worked in government. by their amorphous reasoning, all of washington -- from now on, it should just be a military encampment where no citizen is allowed to go without special papers, special bedding, special permission. but we all know this is a charade. while democrats insist on serious fencing and barricades around their place of work, they are throwing open our southern border! so any migrant, any criminal, or frankly any terrorist who wants to illegally cross a southern border can of effectively waltz right in now.
11:03 pm
but any american who just wants to bring their family to visit the capital or speak with a representative? it is treated like a terrorist. i was thinking today that they continue lockdown of capitol hill is kind of like the covid lock down with the moving goalposts, lack of any real metrics and vague warnings about potential danger down the -- >> this is a fox news alert. the u.s. has a representative voting on president biden's $1.9 trillion covert relief bill. fox news congressional correspondent chad pergram joins us live with the latest. >> good morning, ashley. the boat is still open but they have the votes to pass the bill. this is a sixth round of coronavirus relief the past 12 months, the $1.9 trillion measure dude reduce additional benefits due to expire in two weeks, also includes $1400 stimulus checks for americans
11:04 pm
but also funds to help with the distribution of the vaccine peered but republicans argue that this was a bloated bill with democratic handouts. as i said, they are going to close this boat and just a moment or two. there are two democratic nos, jared goldman a moderate from maine and also kurt schrader, a moderate from oregon. the bill included an increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour. but the wage hike doesn't qualify for the bill under special budget rules in the senate. they'll strip that out next week. at least two democrats, chris and cinnamon of arizona, and joe manchin of west virginia, opposed, including the wage increase in this bill. that may help democrats pass the bill eventually. but some democrats could balk when the bill goes to house of representatives. the house will have to align at some point with what the senate did. when i ask house speaker nancy pelosi if she expected any issue with the bill coming back to the house without the wage increase, she replied,
11:05 pm
"no." democrats can only lose four members on their side to pass the final version of this bill. this could doom the legislation for president biden could hear is the timetable. the senate will debate the bell next bill next week, and that's when the extra unemployment benefits run out. they want to get this done before then. ashley? back to you. >> live for us early this morning for chad, thanks so much. of course we are going to be monitoring this throughout the night. keep it here with us. we are going to send it back to programming and you are watching "the ingraham angle." >> laura: if the democrats really cared about our security, really cared about it, they would not be trying to dismantle i.c.e. and pause deportations for months on end. but what's really galling is the very people who didn't read or act on the intel leading up to
11:06 pm
january 6th, they now want to interpret it for us. >> we know the insurrection is who attacked the capital weren't only interested in attacking members of congress and officers. they wanted to send a symbolic message to the nation and who was in charge of that legislative process. >> laura: there is a symbolic message all right and it's coming from pelosi and schumer. those assault vehicles and troops are what you can be facing next year if you attend an anti-lockdown or a pro second amendment rally. oh, and you will be the next suspect in their domestic terror drama. and every opportunity from now on, g.o.p. members of congress have to start asking members of the biden the administration whether they believe that china or trump is a bigger threat to america. is it the ccp or the g.o.p. and its supporters that we should be
11:07 pm
worried about? but maybe nancy pelosi has already answered that question. >> we have a the we have a domestic terrorism that's what he testified at the end of september. domestic violence taking more lives than international violence in this country. >> laura: the logical follow on to that, if the biggest terror problems are all here in the united states, why do we need so many troops in the middle east? and that's the angle. all right come and join me now is harmeet dhillon, civil rights attorney or an and ari fleischer, fox news contributor. harmeet, i know you spoken to conservatives all across the country who attended the trump rally on january 6th. they didn't storm the capital. but those people who were

peacefully assembling in washington, is it true they are now dealing with fbi raids, in some case being blocked from talking to counsel if they are detained? what's going on here? >> i've heard that. i've spoken to people to family members who reached out about fbi questioning, fbi dawn raids as if they are terrorists, the fbi seizing their digital records and even holding people incommunicado and not honoring request for counsel. what they are doing as they are arresting them all over the states where they live and in some cases transporting them en masse to d.c. what's disturbing at this like you said in your angle, laura, there seems to be no sense of proportionality, almost a deliberate attempt to criminalize a political act. some of these people who i believe engage in nonviolent protest at the capital are effectively being treated like political prisoners in our country and this is the type of
11:09 pm
thing you see in other countries that our country criticizes. back 20 years ago i was one of the few conservatives who pointed out that the patriot act could one day be weaponized against united states citizens. 20 years later, that's exactly what's happening and we are now going to see the patriot act 2 being used to control our thought and criminalize any type of dissent with the government. this is truly shocking and a big divergence from our history. >> laura: it's telling people, ari fleischer, watch out. it looks like the fbi, certainly the democrats, implicit in all this is watch out. if you go to one of these rallies in the future, you might be, you know, surveying a drone, take a selfie and post it online, you may be dealing with letters from the fbi or being detained, or being questioned. that is... , if that's not a police state,
11:10 pm
i don't know what is, ari >> that was what was done under j. edgar hoover and it led to a lot of liberals complaining about the heavy hand of justice. but the only justice i know, laura, we are all supposed to know, is that justice must be blind. any tactic that is used against those engaged in violence -- not protest, but engage in violence at the capital, are those same tactics also being used against those engaged in violence in the summer riots and the portland riots and the nightly seattle riots. the people who try to cake over federal courthouses in portland. are we going in as the fbi seizing their social media, using facial identification? i hope so. if you commit violence against united states, you should be subject to the law. if you are a peaceful poster, he should not be. but the aggressiveness used against the capital riders, needs to also be used on rioters on the other side.

11:12 pm
day. there is no fbi manhunt for absolute terror reeking criminals in many american cities just in this past year. the double standard is striking, even for the violence. as to arresting nonviolent protesters who are protesting outside state capitals? it has never happened. we are seeing it happen in the united states today. can you imagine the chilling effect if you are a family member or anybody who knows these people -- >> laura: they are criminalizing the leaf. political thought is being criminalized. that's what's happening. and it's that terrifying -- anybody watching this show tonight should be very concerned about this trajectory that our country is on right now, okay? they do not want to debate their ideas, they didn't want to subject their ideas to the court of public opinion. they really do not want to do that. they want to prevent people from having rallies, from protesting the lockdown, protesting taxes,

the directory chris, chairman mao believedthas necessary to affect the political change that he wanted for obviously china. >> yeah. what we are seeing in the united states is a similar effort, the idea of an economic revolution based on the lower classes rising up and overthrowing the bourgeoisie is something that didn't work in the 20th century. modern-day progressives and leftists say that we need to infiltrate the institutions of culture and if we can change the culture, if we can destroy the history of the united states, then we can bring about this utopia. luckily, chinese americans who survived and fled the cultural revolution in their home country are fighting to make sure it doesn't happen here. >> laura: what's interesting, a lot of people have missed this, is that china is now using the language of the left, okay?
11:16 pm
they are actually talking about the axis of white supremacy in calling out the five eyes countries, the english speaking countries, for holding them accountable. saying china has accused australia of being part of an axis of white supremacy because of our intelligence alliance with canada, new zealand, united kingdom, and the united states. so the gangsters in the english-speaking nations are now white super misses. you see how they are interweaving the language of the left into their own global outreach? >> yeah. we live in this bizarre moment where the contemporary left is using the rhetoric of the chinese cultural revolution from 50 years ago. the cpc today is adapting the rhetoric of the american left. denouncing the west as white supremacists. we know that the international socialist and marxist left
